The horses are all doing well, we have had so much good rain here that the grass has stayed tall and green. I had to get my granddaughters to come help out with the grass cutting and shredding a few weeks ago. it was just getting away from me. Our pond is full to overflowing, wish we had more fish in it.
We spent 9 days up in Baltimore the first of June with our daughter and son in law, they are having their first baby in August. We were able to go out on the Chesapeake Bay with my son in laws parents and do some sight seeing around the coastal area. It was a really nice trip.
Jacquie's health is not doing any better, I had hoped with the physical therapy and riding some that her pain might lessen some, but it hasn't happened and now with the heat of summer; well she's not doing too well. I have been thinking its time to downsize some more, so I have decided to sell our AQHA gelding. He is a 5 year old now and just a great horse. He's big, 16 hands and built like his grandsire, our stud Blue. He is only green broke and I feel he is just going to waste around here. He is as smart as a whip and very gentle, but too smart and athletic to just be a pasture ornament. He is a palomino roan.We bred and raised this one and he is going to be hard to sell but, If you are looking for a great horse then this is the one. His Momma, PD Artwo Doc Hancock has qualified to go to AQHA Worlds this year with her owner Amy Rushing riding her.
We are also kicking around the idea of selling our place and downsizing to a smaller acreage, so if you are looking for a good horse property around this part of Texas, give me a call.
